discuss：何かを決めるために話し合う

If people discuss something, they talk about it, often in order to reach a decision.

  • I will be discussing the situation with colleagues tomorrow. (明日、同僚と現状について話し合うつもりだ)

If you discuss something, you write or talk about it in detail.

  • Coming up after the news, Dan Schorr discusses the state of the presidential campaign. (ニュースの後は、Den Schorrが大統領選の模様を詳しくお伝えします)

★ポイント★
「事柄の詳細を述べる」という意味もあるので注意
